Fashion: vintage 40`s by Louisa

It`s well known, fashion is cyclical and every trend is coming back again. For this winter it seems that the 40`s look is the one which is coming back. Of course we already love the red lips, the pencil skirts, the very long gloves etc... but for this winter the aim is to be even more classy. We tried to let you see our Oxfam version of this trend.

The focus in this outfit is the gorgeous 40`s inspired turquoise dress (£6.99), simple and you don`t need more. The color is really trendy too for this winter. We decided to break this total blue look by choosing dark red shoes (£7.99) and a little purse (£2.99). Of course you have to match your lipstick and your polish nail with the bag and the shoes.

We also chose a bunch of accessories in this little brown and very cute suitcase (£9.99), and a lot of scarf and necklaces which start at £1.99.

Fashion: THE summer shoes by Louisa

Ok, I can admit it, I really love the new brown shoes that we have, why? Because these are the perfect summer shoes: comfy but with heels, classy but perfect with jeans too, and most of all brown! (yeah we all have thousands of brown bags and obviously we need to find the shoes to match). So, the shoes are from Next (£6.99) :

To give an idea of what you could wear them with, I made two outfits, really simple with jeans and, in fact, just changing the top. The jean is a simple skinny one (£5.99) and the bag is quite big because we are girls and we have a lot of stuff in our bag ( £3.99).

OK, I know, a lot of people are thinking the mariniere top is over but what can I say? I`m french and I love it ! (£5.99)

To be honest, I really wanted to have an outfit with this top. I love the color, I love the shape, and I think it can match with everything. Oh, and may i add that it`s 100% silk and just £7.99.

Fashion: black is the new black by Louisa

The outfits of the day are as simple as could be: black and white for men and women. This is always the best choice when you don`t know what to wear, and when you want to look classy.

So we will start with the guy, he is wearing a white shirt ( £5.99) and a black fitted jacket from topman (£7.99). to match with the shoes of the girl and to have a little original touch we chose the sparkling grey tie (£3.99). Instead of having classic black pants, we dressed him with skinny grey jeans (£6.99). The final touch is the shoes : leather boots with a lot of details (£14.99) , in a very good condition. To be honest we fell in love with them.

Then the girl wears a simple black Esprit dress ( with a little cleavage, £6.99). she also can wear her man's jacket like in the picture. to add a classy touch and to match with her boyfriend she is wearing perfect silver sparkling shoes (£6.99). She can also have one of the accessories in the picture : they start at £1.99.

Thanks to lisa and elizabeth the new German volunteers who helped a lot today , and like they say: less is more.

Fashion: day'n night by Louisa

No outfit yesterday, so today you will have two. We chose something modern, which allows you not to have to change your outfit between work and partying on friday nights.

 . 

The cropped top is now a summer classic, but you can also wear it in autumn by just tucking it in your carrot pant or your hight waisted skirt and adding a jumper. 

So here we chose the carrot pant (£4.99) with this lovely white with embroidery top. To add a touch of color but stay classy, red seems to be the good colour so the big 24h bag (£5.99) and the heels (£3.99) complete the look.

Like almost everytime now, we have some accessories for you, the flip flops are £4.99, the scarf £3.99 and the jewellery is from £2.99.

Fashion: day one : party girl by Louisa

This outfit is a party girl one, girls love gold we know that. I know that everyone is sick of the same old pencil skirt but THIS IS A BASIC. So we added to this simple pencil skirt a vintage top (£7.99 and 100% recycled) with goldy details, for the colour touch we have the violet belt (£4.99) and to finish shinny shoes are never too much (£7.99 faith). All the accessories on the wall depend on you, if you want to keep it simple or not (both will be great) : the bag is £5.99, and the jewellery are from £2.99.

Louisa`s fashion fortnight

Hi , I’m Louisa a French student who is volunteering for Oxfam during all the summer. My aim with these pages is to show you the trendy side of our Oxfam shop by choosing some of my favourite looks from the rails.I will choose a look every day for the next two weeks.

So let’s begin with the first outfit: it’s the rocky one for festivals or just to hang out with friends and be comfortable:

The T Shirt is the classic Ramones one (£4.99), the again we have another classic the high wasted levis short (£5.99) which is completed with a black belt (£3.99). to have a little touch of originality we added the black and white printed jumper (£6.99).for the shoes we choose classic biker leather boots (£9.99). this would not be complete without the little lether handbag (6.99).

Now let’s see the second outfit: more 70s vintage look.

This one is also really comfortable and stays in the boyish trend of this autumn/winter . we choose a beige and brown printed jumper (£7.99, we have too of them) really big and we have put a slim jean (£ 5.99) and brown accessories to feminine them : a belt (£ 2.49) , a bag (£ 5.99) and the trendy moccasins (£7.99). 

The third outfit is the romantic one : 

we also wanted a vintage outfit but more girly , we choose the old pink floral dress (£14.99) accessories with a brown belt (£ 2.49), and some necklaces (£3.99 and 2.99) and a brown bag (£5.99). we also have another pictures of some accessories which could match with the outfit :

And now the last outfit, 

the colourful trend is not stopping because the autumn is coming: This year it’s trendy to add a bright colour to the same old winter greys, browns and blacks in your outfit. We tried that with the outfit on the mannequin: the central piece is the asos high wasted skirt (£ 5.99) : you can wear it for every occasion, we decided to do a classy look but just with a white T Shirt and some baskets it would be brilliant too. We matched the blue and red from the skirt to the top £3.99 and the bag (£4.99). And to complete the look high aldo heels (£9.99) and leaves necklace (£5.99).
